As a Career Transition Consultant with CCI Consulting, Kathy partners with individuals and teams to articulate vision, identify goals, and clarify distinctions. Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, coupled with the ability to generate measurable results, positions Kathy as a valuable client resource. Kathy applies lessons learned during 25+ years in sales management, strategic marketing, training, coaching, institutional advancement, and culture change in corporate, faith-based nonprofit, and entrepreneurial organizations.

Prior to joining CCI, Kathy held field, staff, and management positions at Verizon and Bell Atlantic, where she managed sales, engineering, and marketing teams. Kathy was recognized with the Verizon Award of Excellence for significantly reducing costs after orchestrating a change in training delivery from leader-led to blended delivery for a 2,500-person nationwide sales organization. Kathy transitioned from corporate executive to entrepreneur in 2003 when she started 5 Decades In, LLC, a learning organization focused on transformational growth for individuals and organizations in transition.

Known for empathy and building relationships, Kathy is skilled at creating safe space, effectively utilizing humor and powerful metaphors to reinforce her message. One client describes Kathy as “responsive, enthusiastic, energetic, professional, and positive.” As a lifelong learner and certified facilitator, Kathy is comfortable delivering workshops on a range of topics including Visioning, Goal Setting, DISC, Resume Development, Branding, Selling Skills, Negotiation Skills, and Interviewing Skills. During her spare time, Kathy is committed to empowering women in Africa after a business trip to West Africa transformed her worldview. Kathy is proudest of the impact her efforts had on a client organization in Nigeria, specifically generating a 325% increase in donations to an organic farm and clinic. Kathy led cultural immersion trips and produced high-impact videos of her experiences in Ghana and Nigeria. In 2012, Kathy won the Count Me In Make Mine a Million (M3) Women-Owned Small Business Competition.
