As a Senior Career Transition Consultant with CCI Consulting, Denise draws on her experiences as an educator to provide pragmatic teaching methods for a structured career search strategy. She collaborates with individuals developing rapport to help clarify goals, and if they are changing paths, helps to identify transferable skills to achieve their next career opportunity.
Denise’s background as a corporate trainer brought her to developing a training department for Sun East Federal Credit Union. Denise brings that experience forward in facilitating workshops both onsite and at client locations. Her areas of expertise include leadership development, executive and management coaching, and designing tools and techniques to improve relationships. She is an independent consultant and owner of Romanelli & Associates, LLC.
Some of Denise’s accolades include the WOW Award from the Credit Union National Association, which honors creative and outstanding performance in credit union trainers throughout the country. In 2013, Denise was presented with Delaware County Community College’s Wong Moss Alumni Award for contributions in community service and career achievements. She also received Sun East Federal Credit Union’s pinnacle award for Volunteer of the Year in 2004 and 2015, Big Brothers/Big Sisters Caring Hands Award in 2001, a Delaware Governor’s Volunteer of the Year award, and the Jefferson Award in 2000.
Writing is one of Denise’s passions; she has been a freelance writer for the Delaware County Daily Times and currently with Pivot/Vista Today, an online news journal. Her first book, “10 Simple Things That Make a Difference,” a guide for leadership strategies, released Summer, 2019. Denise is also a public speaker at conferences and business dinners, sharing experiences in financial and non-profit ventures.
Denise earned a Master of Science degree in Organization Leadership from Cabrini College; Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies from West Chester University; and an Associate Degree in Business Management from Delaware County Community College. Denise received National Honor Society recognition in all of her collegiate degrees. She is also an adjunct professor at Delaware County Community College and teaches business courses, bringing her corporate influences into her classroom and bringing real-life scenarios and applications to her students.
