Chapel Hill, NC (1/27/15) – Career Partners International, a leading global provider of outplacement, executive coaching and other talent management services, launched Executive Onboarding Strategy(EOS), an innovative approach that increases the success of executives in new leadership roles and reduces turnover costs for organizations.

Forty percent or more of executives fail or quit during the first 18 months in a new position and turnover costs for executives can range from 50% to 200% of the executive’s salary according to research conducted by DHR International and WorldatWork respectively.

EOS combines the effectiveness of personalized onboarding coaches with LAUNCH, a proprietary framework for assimilation success designed by Career Partners International to expedite the success of executives entering new roles and reduce turnover. Coaches identify the individual needs of executives and organizations in order to create strategies that accelerate time-to-productivity and create measurable business impacts.

“We’re excited to bring this innovative approach to our clients and help their new leaders succeed,” commented David P. Hemmer, President and CEO of Career Partners International. “With proven methods for increasing organizational effectiveness, Executive Onboarding Strategy helps companies enhance the abilities of new leaders to make a difference and contribute to the bottom line more quickly.”

Career Partners International examined executive onboarding practices during its 2014 complimentary webinar on the topic. A survey of nearly 500 global leaders attending found that 60% of executives were derailed in the first two years due to inadequate alignment with company culture or insufficient development of key relationships and partnerships. Leaders also identified accelerated learning and increased alignment with culture as the greatest benefits of formal executive onboarding programs in their organizations.

Collaboration between onboarding coaches and new executives in EOS enables the development and implementation of action plans using the LAUNCH Framework as well as the tools and resources available in The Executive’s Guide to Successful Assimilation, both designed by Career Partners International. Leaders work to understand expectations of their positions in the organization, form relationships with key stakeholders and develop action plans to create measurable business impact within their first 90 days. The process also incorporates feedback and reflection for executives to continually improve their effectiveness and the effectiveness of their teams over time.
